Is my data shared? No. Bukko does not have a backend server and does not collect or share your data. Your data is stored locally on your device. If you are a Premium member, your data also syncs to your personal iCloud account.
How is Total Income calculated? Total Income = Cash Tips + Paychecks. Credit tips are already included in your paycheck so they aren't counted twice. If you have barber entries, Total Income also includes Barber Base Cuts and Barber Credit Tips.
Why aren't credit tips included in Total Income? When you receive a paycheck, your credit tips are already factored into your net pay. If we added credit tips on top of your net paycheck, your income would be double counted. That's why Total Income only includes Cash Tips + Net Paychecks — to give you an accurate picture of what you actually take home. However, we do add Barber Credit Tips to Total Income since most barbers are independent and don't receive a paycheck.
What is Covers Tracking? Covers tracking lets you log how many customers or tables you served each shift. Over time you can see your average covers per shift and how covers relate to your tip earnings. This is a Premium feature available for Servers and Bartenders.
What is Sales Tracking? Sales tracking lets you log your total sales for each shift so you can see your tip percentage on sales. For example, if you sold $1,200 and made $200 in tips, that's a 16.7% tip rate. This is a Premium feature available for Servers and Bartenders.
What are Shift Type Tags? Servers and Bartenders can tag each shift by type. Servers can choose Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch, Dinner, or Graveyard. Bartenders can choose Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch, Dinner, or Closing. The Totals screen shows your average tips and hourly wage broken down by shift type so you can see which shifts earn you the most. This is a Premium feature.
How does game tracking work? Casino dealers can track which games make them the most tips. There are two modes you can choose in Settings:
Simplified: Rank your games from best to worst tips each shift. Over time, the app tallies your rankings and shows which games consistently earn you the most in the Totals screen — with Hot, Neutral, and Cold labels.
Advanced: Track exact downs dealt, rotation length, and estimate the tip percentage per game. See your hourly wage per game, total hours, and detailed breakdowns.
Your default games from Settings are available to pick from each shift. Any new game you add during a shift is automatically saved to your defaults.
What's the difference between Tip Hourly, Net Hourly, and Gross Hourly? Tip Hourly = Total Tips (Cash + Credit) / Hours. Net Hourly = (Cash Tips + Net Paycheck) / Hours. Gross Hourly = Your W-2/Company Hourly Wage + Tip Hourly. Gross Hourly is what you'd tell people you actually make per hour.
How do I track multiple jobs? Go to Settings and add your companies under the Companies section. You can add up to 5 companies. When logging a shift, select which company it's for. You can also filter your Totals by job.
Can I log two different jobs on the same day? Yes. After saving your first entry, tap 'Add Another Entry' to log a second job for the same day. Both entries combine on the calendar tile.
What is Barber Mode? Barber Mode lets barbers track individual customers, base cut prices, hours per client, and tips per cut. It calculates your total barber earnings, hourly wage, and tracks repeat customers in Barber Stats.
Is the App Free? Basic tip tracking is free for your first 10 shifts. Premium features like game tracking, covers, trips, sales, paycheck tracking, barber mode, schedule, day of week insights, PDF/CSV export, and iCloud sync require a subscription.
Is my data backed up? If you're a Premium subscriber, your data syncs to iCloud automatically. If you delete the app or get a new phone, your data will restore automatically when you reinstall.
What if my iCloud storage is full? iCloud sync uses your personal iCloud storage. If your storage is full, which is common on the free 5GB plan, your data may not sync or back up properly. We recommend upgrading to a paid iCloud+ plan to make sure your data stays safe and syncs across all your devices.
Is there an Android version? At this time there are no plans for an Android version. Bukko Apps LLC is currently an iOS development company. The app is only available on iPhone and iPad.
How do shift reminders work? Go to Smart Schedule and set your recurring shifts. You'll get notifications 3 hours before (heads up), 1 hour before (get ready), and at the end of your shift (log your tips). You can also set a custom time for the log tips reminder.
What does the Day of Week feature do? It shows you which days of the week earn you the most money. See average tips, hourly wage, hours, and shift count for each day. Monday is free — unlock all days with Premium.
Can I export my data? Yes. Premium subscribers can export monthly or yearly PDF and CSV reports with a full breakdown of tips, paychecks, hourly wages, and more. You can also filter by job.
How do I cancel my subscription? Go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → find the app and cancel. Your Premium features remain active until the end of your billing period.
Can I get a refund? Apple handles all refunds and refund decisions. You'll need to initiate a refund request directly with Apple through your purchase history. They typically offer a 7 to 14 day grace period for recent purchases.
